One size does not fit all

The path to entrepreneurship can be winding and not everyone will take the same route. For instance, perhaps you’ve looked at our challenges and you’re either not ready to take the plunge or they don’t quite fit around what you’re trying to do.

If this sounds like you, help is still available. Take a look below to see what’s on offer:

Workshops

We run a whole host of workshops throughout the year which are open to anyone considering entrepreneurship as a career option. Delivered by a range of experts, including the Converge Enterprise team, they cover all the essentials of starting a business from understanding your customers and routes to market to start-up finance and intellectual property.

Even if you can’t attend in person, you can always catch up on demand. Check out our workshop page for full details:

On the ground support

Looking for 1-2-1 support from one of our team – but on your home turf? We now have two new Converge colleagues based in universities in the North East and Greater Glasgow areas who can offer mentoring and advice.

Joining our team in the North east and supporting universities in Dundee, Aberdeen and the Highlands & Islands, is Richard Cormack-Corrigan, a business enterprise expert with 10 years’ experience of helping start-ups and spinouts. In the Greater Glasgow area, and supporting universities based in the west, is Brian McEwan, a business support professional with a long-standing track record of working with entrepreneurs.

Supporting institutions in the East plus the University of Stirling and St Andrews is our Enterprise Manager, Lissa Herron. Lissa is a Converge alumna with in-depth experience of working with spinouts and the commercialisation of research.

Email Lissa, Richard or Brian now to get the ball rolling.
