Singular Photonics

We have developed high-performance camera modules based on sensitive light detectors called Single Photon Avalanche Diodes (SPADs). These sensors are sensitive enough to detect a single light particle (Photon) and time their arrival in trillionths of a second. Competitor products such as EMCCDs and sCMOS cameras are manufactured in expensive semiconductor technologies, requiring extreme temperature-controlled environments. On the other hand, SPADs can be manufactured at low-cost, using reliable CMOS process nodes commonly used to manufacture integrated circuits such as microprocessors, and operated at room temperature. These cameras have key applications in spectroscopy, microscopy, medical imaging, and scientific research.
