Ujamaa Spice

The £17 billion global spice industry is increasingly becoming the target of organised food crime and the UK’s fight against this is costing over £11bn a year. This is happening because the current spice supply chain is based upon a colonial model that exploits vulnerable people and is rampant with corruption and a lack of transparency. Ujamaa Spice offers an alternative by working closely with small hold farmers in Zanzibar, controlling 100% of the supply chain. We pay our farmers a premium price for their product, and our consumers in the UK receive high-quality, unadulterated, organically grown spices.
