Haseltine Lake Kempner joins Converge family

We are delighted to announce that Haseltine Lake Kempner (HLK) – a major Intellectual Property practice with full service offices in five European locations – has joined the Converge partner network. Successful applicants to this year’s Converge programme can now look forward to expert IP support as they take their business concepts through to commercial realisation.

The partnership continues HLK’s long-standing record of supporting some of the leading UK and global universities in their quest to protect and realise the commercial value of their research and innovation. It also demonstrates the firm’s commitment to supporting the Scottish universities sector, their spinouts and start-ups creating a positive impact for Scotland.

Magnus Johnston, Lead Partner in HLK’s Glasgow office, said: “We are thrilled to play our part in supporting and developing Scotland’s next generation of innovators and entrepreneurs via our involvement with Converge as their exclusive Intellectual Property partner. We are also looking to working alongside an impressive roster of industry partners.  Good luck to all the applicants!”

Dr Claudia Cavalluzzo, Executive Director of Converge commented: “We are delighted to welcome Haseltine Lake Kempner to Converge as our latest professional partner.  The innovations and ideas we see coming out of the Scottish Universities through the Converge programme can be truly ground-breaking and need solid intellectual property protection and advice.  We look forward to working with the team at HLK as we give Scotland’s dynamic seedling organisations a launchpad for growth at a pivotal time in their development.  The breadth of expertise within Haseltine Lake Kempner will ensure that all of our participants – no matter what sector or size – will benefit from expert advice on this most important topic for new businesses.”
