Books2Life (creativity award)

Books2Life is an innovative image-generation platform that enhances reading. With input text from any book page, the platform produces illustrations through Artificial Intelligence models.
Our inclusive platform will initially support children with dyslexia, for whom reading can take 40% longer than their non-dyslexic peers. This delay is partly because of verbal short-term memory, Beth O’Brien’s research shows young dyslexic readers have a less established memory store of letter templates for processing reading information.
Graphics novels are a solution to this, a 2019 study by Patrick Smith evidenced the memory benefit from exposure to graphic novels for children with dyslexia.
