New Board members announced

Converge is delighted to announce five key appointments to its Strategic Advisory Board. 

Pivotal to Converge’s future direction, they include dynamic academic leaders, expert professional advisors from our partner network, seasoned business leaders and successful entrepreneurs. 

With an exceptional breadth and depth of experience spanning everything from private sector innovation and start-up activities to international business, policy, funding, investment and university commercialisation, we’re very excited about the fresh perspectives and value our new Board members will bring to our organisation as we continue to grow and innovate.

Neil Logan – Co-founder, Incremental Group

With over 25 years years’ experience in technology and leadership, Neil Logan is an experienced board-level leader, technologist and entrepreneur with a track record of scaling high-growth, purpose-driven businesses. As co-founder and former CEO of Incremental Group, he led the company from start-up to successful acquisition by Telefónica Tech in 2022, building one of the UK’s leading digital transformation consultancies.

Alexander Lamley – Partner, MBM Commercial 

Alexander is a corporate lawyer qualified in both the UK and US. His true passion lies in fuelling the success of high-growth start-ups and innovative new businesses. Whether it’s guiding companies through their formative stages, advising investors on critical funding rounds or helping UK clients expand across the Atlantic to the US, Alexander provides the strategic legal expertise needed to navigate complex corporate landscapes while achieving ambitious goals.

Dr Heather May Morgan – Dean for Enterprise and Innovation, University of Aberdeen

Dr Heather May Morgan is the driving force behind Enterprise and Innovation at the University of Aberdeen. As Dean, she’s passionate about fostering a vibrant entrepreneurial culture by connecting the university with businesses to create both economic and social impact while accelerating the launch of new start-ups and spin outs. 

Professor Andy Porter FRSE – Director of the Scottish Biologics Facility, University of Aberdeen 

Professor Andy Porter is a part-time academic and director of the Scottish Biologics Facility at the University of Aberdeen. With 20 years’ experience in academic entrepreneurship, Andy is a recognised figure in the life sciences sector, holding non-executive positions in several Scottish life science businesses. He is also the co-founder of Elasmogen, a biologics drug discovery business based in Aberdeen.

Uzma Khan FRSA FRSE – VP Economic Development & Innovation and Deputy Chief Operating Officer, University of Glasgow

Uzma Khan is the strategic force behind the University of Glasgow’s innovation engine. As Vice-Principal for Economic Development and Innovation and Deputy Chief Operating Officer, she’s focused on delivering the University’s ambitions and maximising its economic and regional impact
